Chinese Calligraphy
In Chinese ink art, painting bamboo and writing calligraphy are deeply intertwined. Traditionally, we do not speak of "painting" bamboo; instead, we refer to it as "writing bamboo" (xie zhu, ??).This is rooted in the principle that calligraphy and painting share the same origin (shu hua tong yuan, ???).In any traditional bamboo painting class, calligraphic stroke techniques form the structural foundation of every part of the plant.
