Plans for SeniorPalooza 2024 are set and the promotional materials are available at the center. We hope many of you will get involved with some of the in-person, on-line and on-your-own activities.

SeniorPalooza Drive-By Event
  • Wednesday, May 1, 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the parking of the Xenia Community Center, 1265 W. 2nd Street, Xenia, next to the Council’s office
  • Your Council team will be on hand to distribute the Well Balanced Takeaway Bags which includes the Itinerary listing the online and in-person events, activities & challenges, as well as several activity sheets and some surprises.
  • For those not able to come out on the first, any unclaimed Itineraries and activity sheets will be available at the Center, the Council office and mailed on request.
  • Meet at the Beavercreek Senior Center front entrance at 1:30 p.m. to caravan with other members and Senior Center staff. Registration begins Tuesday, April 30 at 9 a.m.

Walk As One at 1
  • Location: Russ Nature Reserve, 2380 Kemp Road, Beavercreek
  • We will also be hosting a Walk As One At 1 on Friday, May 3 at Russ Nature Reserve. This is in honor of World Labyrinth Day, a day promoting unity, community, collaboration and peaceful hearts. You may choose to walk a few steps in your backyard, around your family room, at a mall or one of the amazing Beavercreek or Greene County parks. Or you can join us at Russ Nature Reserve, 2380 Kemp Road, around 12:30 p.m. to then Walk As One at 1. The new shelter has been reserved and all are welcome.
  • Meet at the Beavercreek Senior Center front entrance at Noon to caravan with other members and Senior Center staff. Or meet us at Russ Nature Reserve at 12:30 p.m.
  • Registration begins Tuesday, April 30 at 9 a.m.

SeniorPalooza Field & Gathering Day
  • Location: Xenia Community Center, 1265 W. 2nd Street, Xenia
  • We are excited to bring seniors together for a combination of outdoor and indoor activities/challenges, including a balanced warm-up led by the Center’s own Shawnah. The Council’s Brick & Baum duo will then share their unique Juggling and Balancing talents, after which we will cheer on those who give the Obstacle Course a try! We then take the event indoors for a variety of activities for you to enjoy – either as a participant or an observer. A fun and engaging day has been planned! For those on Facebook, please Like and Follow the Council and keep up with SeniorPalooza videos and updates, including sharing some of your own.
  • To register, you must also complete a Registration Form, which will be available through GCCOA or at the Senior Center front desk. Registration deadline is Monday, May 15.
