Family Cookie Plate Workshop
- It’s back and with new mold shapes! Kids will create an extra special cookie plate they can share with their family this holiday season! Cookie plates will be hand built using 2lbs of clay from a mold picked by the child/family. Participants will be shown basic clay techniques like slipping and scoring to build the plate, and glazes to decorate. Since plates will fired once, it is recommended not to use this as dinnerware but more for “display” (a cookie or two for Santa is perfectly fine!) as these should not be placed in the dishwasher.
- Plates will be fired and will be ready 2-3 weeks after the workshop. Participants will be notified by the Parks when projects are ready to be picked up at the Park's office.

Family Ornament Painting Workshop
- Secret Santa? Stocking stuffing? Or looking for an experience the whole family can join in on? Here’s a great opportunity! Choose up to 4 ceramic ornament designs (and there are a LOT to choose from!) to paint using a variety of fun glaze colors!
- Some designs are 3-D and require stilting in the kiln, you may see three little “blemishes” on the bottom of the piece, this is not a flaw with the glaze and doesn’t affect the pottery negatively. Designs change every year!
- After firing, each piece will have a sturdy ornament hook attached so they will be ready to hang on a tree, give as gifts, or put on display after firing!
- Ornaments will be ready 2-3 weeks after the workshop. Participants will be notified by the Parks when projects are ready to be picked up at the Park's office.
