Budding Artists (5-7 Years)

Saturdays, February 8 – February 22
Welcome back, little artists! While it may be cold outside, we have the warm fuzzies during this month's budding artists series! Each week will be a project that can be perfectly giftable to a special someone in your little artist's life! We will be creating fun and colorful yarn heart hangers, and while our yarn hearts dry, we will create a pop-up card! We will also be painting decorative valentines themed ceramics with acrylic (ready to go home right after class!), and canvas paintings with a “lovely” twist!
Please have your child come dressed to get potentially messy each day!

Budding Artists (8-10 Years)

Saturdays, March 8 - 22: Welcome back young artists! Ready to play in clay? In this series you will have three days’ worth of clay! Each student will have 3lbs of clay (1lb per class) and an objective for the day: we will be creating both functional and non-functional pieces! Projects will include tiny homes (think fairies, toads, or a house fit for a mouse!) a floating island, and a mystery project the students will be given guidelines and tips for and left to come up with their own functional creation. Projects will be glazed during class and be fired after the last week of class.
Projects will take approximately three weeks for firing and will be available for pick up at the Park’s office. Registrants will be notified by email when they are ready.

Adult Garden Gnome/Fairy Party

This one's for the grownups! Spend a relaxing morning painting garden themed pottery, the biggest decision you’ll have to make is are you team fairy or team gnome (or toadstool?) pottery choice sizes range from 6” to 9” tall, and you will have a wide variety of glaze colors to choose from. Each registration includes one piece of pottery. Each piece will receive a generous layer of clear coating prior to firing so they will be ready for the garden! Light refreshments will be provided.
Pottery will be ready for pick up at the Parks office approximately three weeks after the workshop. Registrants will be notified by email when they are ready.

Family Clay Planter Workshop

Happy Spring! In this family workshop we will be gearing up for gardening playing in the mud! In this workshop each family will receive 2lbs of clay to create one big planter, OR you’re welcome to create smaller “seed starter” pots. After creating our containers, we will make sure each one has a drainage hole or two before glazing!
Planters will be fired and ready approximately 2-3 weeks after firing.
Planters will be filled with potting mix as well as a mystery seed, Zinnia? Marigold? Morning Glory? You’ll have to find out! You will receive a care sheet for watering your mystery flower!
