Fall-ing for Gnomies and Fairies! Workshop
  • Back by request! The Gnomies are back with a twist! Represent your favorite football team with a decked out pottery gnome that YOU design, or paint a fall themed fairy house, the options will be different from our spring themed event so don’t miss the opportunity to add more to your collection! There will be light refreshments, coffee and tea provided.
  • All materials are included.
  • Pottery will be ready for pick up approximately three weeks after the workshop. The Parks office will notify you via email when they are available for pick up at the Park’s office.

The Littlest Pinch Pot Clay Workshop
  • A parent/guardian must attend class with child.
  • This workshop is for the littlest of artists in our world! Small hands (with the help of their grownup!) will learn how to make some fun pinch pot shapes (apples, leaves, an animal, etc) to get them ready for hand building with clay! Our pinch pots can be lightly decorated with other additional clay embellishments (stems, leaves, eyes, etc) then it’s time to glaze! As there is always a potential for messes please have your little artists (and you!) dressed to get messy!
  • All materials are included.
  • Pinch pots will need time after class to dry before firing. They will be ready for pick up approximately three weeks after the workshop. The Parks office will notify you via email when they are available for pick up at the Park’s office.

Spooky Silly Pumpkin Pottery
  • The leaves are changing and there’s a chill in the air (maybe!) so spend a cozy morning painting some pumpkin pottery! There will be silly cute faces as well as traditional jack o lantern faces to choose from! Arrive on time to ensure you get to pick the one you want! There will be numerous glazes to choose from as well as some funky techniques we can use to really make these creative!
  • Ages 7+ may be dropped off, ages 6 and under require an adult with them.
  • Pumpkins will be fired in a kiln and returned to the Parks office to be picked up just in time for Halloween! The Parks office will notify participants when they are ready for pick up at the Park's office.
  • Each pumpkin will include an LED light upon pickup.

Family Cookie Plate Workshop
  • It’s back and with new mold shapes! Kids will create an extra special cookie plate they can share with their family this holiday season! Cookie plates will be hand built using 2lbs of clay from a mold picked by the child/family. Participants will be shown basic clay techniques like slipping and scoring to build the plate, and glazes to decorate. Since plates will fired once, it is recommended not to use this as dinnerware but more for “display” (a cookie or two for Santa is perfectly fine!) as these should not be placed in the dishwasher.
  • Plates will be fired and will be ready 2-3 weeks after the workshop. Participants will be notified by the Parks when projects are ready to be picked up at the Park's office.

Family Ornament Painting Workshop
  • Secret Santa? Stocking stuffing? Or looking for an experience the whole family can join in on? Here’s a great opportunity! Choose up to 4 ceramic ornament designs (and there are a LOT to choose from!) to paint using a variety of fun glaze colors!
  • Some designs are 3-D and require stilting in the kiln, you may see three little “blemishes” on the bottom of the piece, this is not a flaw with the glaze and doesn’t affect the pottery negatively. Designs change every year!
  • After firing, each piece will have a sturdy ornament hook attached so they will be ready to hang on a tree, give as gifts, or put on display after firing!
  • Ornaments will be ready 2-3 weeks after the workshop. Participants will be notified by the Parks when projects are ready to be picked up at the Park's office.
