Girl with goggles.
Join Dayton Raiders Swim Academy for Intro to Swim Lessons. The swim lessons are great opportunity for your child(ren) to learn the fundamentals of floating, kicking, and swimming. Parents will be asked to view the swim lesson from the lobby.
  • Ages 3 – 5 (beginner) – being comfortable going underwater, floating, and kicking
  • Ages 6 – 9 (intermediate) – treading water, freestyle breathing, dolphin kick
  • Ages 9+ (advanced) – freestyle, backstroke, and dives.
Where to go:
Meet in the lobby of the Dayton Raiders Aquatic Center (DRAC), 560 Grange Hall Road. Please be there 5-10 minutes before the start of your class. Please make sure your child visits the restroom before the start of each lesson! Please use the adult locker rooms for all family changing needs.

What to bring:
Swimmers will need a swimsuit, towel, and a smile. Children with long hair should have their hair pulled back and out of their face. Participants should also keep their nails clipped. Goggles are HIGHLY recommended. We ask that masks that cover the nose not be used because they interfere with learning breath control. In addition, children who are not potty trained will need a swim diaper. Disposable diapers will not be allowed because they restrict movement, become very heavy with water, and are likely to fall apart.

Specific questions about the swim lessons? Call John at Dayton Raiders Swim Academy at 937-660-5287.
These classes are just one day, for 30-minutes. Contact Dayton Raiders Swim Academy for full sessions of Swim Lessons.
