Family Clay Night Light Workshop (7+)
Families can add a little creative illumination to their homes with this two part clay workshop. Students will be shown how to create decorative cut outs on a slab of clay to be rolled into a cylinder shape. Clay will be fired and brought back for the second class to be glazed and then fired once more. Projects can be picked up approximately 1 week after final class. *a light kit is included. Adults who want to create a lamp as well will need to register and pay for BOTH themselves and their child.
Teen Art Club (10-15 Years)
Teens will be introduced to basic clay technique and tools for them to sculpt their own creations to be fired and painted with acrylic, and “painting” with a needle and thread on canvas. Students will have time to finish projects on the last day as well as sketch out and design their own cool and funky shrinky dinks.
Teen Drawing Club (11-15 Years)
Teen Drawing Club is an “open format” style class for teens to join like-minded individuals who enjoy drawing. Students are welcome to bring their sketchbooks to class and get feedback from instructor and muralist Tiffany Clark, as well as participate in drawing prompts and activities offered during the class. All drawing materials are included, however students are welcome to bring their own.
Tiny Van Gogh (6-18 Months)
We’re bringing the weather inside the classroom for this series! We will create our own snowman footprints, squish our hands into some pretend snow (taste-safe), paint pretty spring flowers and play in a fun garden themed seek and find. We will play around with some color mixing too and create some lovely little butterflies! Please let us know before the first class if your child has any food allergies so the instructor can accommodate. There is always the potential for class to get a little messy so please dress your child (and yourself!) accordingly.
Budding Artists (5-7 Years)
In this series, young artists will get to try their hand at sculpting with polymer clay, collage a portrait of themselves as their favorite imaginative crayon color, and learn how to take basic shapes, lines, and watercolor to construct their own castle!
Budding Artists (8-10 Years)
In this series students will be able to create small treasure chests from clay that they get to paint and fill with what they consider to be “treasure”, design and paint an old looking treasure map and mark where we could find the treasure chest, and using some cool visual references and a little geometry-draw and paint some precious gemstones and jewels.
Toddler Art Adventure (18months-4years old)
This month we are all about toddlers and their favorite foods! We will create tasty looking treats using polymer clay, build a towering ice cream paper collage with their favorite “flavors”, experiment with some color mixing using skittles, and play with ice cream dough to make giant sundaes! (dough is taste-safe, please inform us of any food allergies prior to class so the instructor can accommodate) As always there is the potential for your child (and yourself!) to get a little messy each day, so please dress accordingly.
Spring Break Art Camp (8-14 years)
In this fun three day camp students will be getting messy hand building with clay, creating paper mache masks, and creating their own sketchbooks from recycled materials to sketch in with different drawing materials as they put the finishing touches on their other projects.
